&#8216;Environment in the Youth Policy in Serbia&#8217;, the European Youth Center is continuing its work in the field of ecology through the project &#8216;Green activist: youth for the environment&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Awareness of the importance of the environment is one of the key indicators of society&#8217;s maturity. Therefore, the main objective of this project is to strengthen the capacities of local youth offices, youth organizations and raising awareness \u00a0of the bearers of society, young people, about particular problems in Serbia, about the possibilities of their participation and contribution to the preservation of the environment at the local level and therefore on the national level.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 20px; font-size: 15px;\"><em>The project will contribute to identifying environmental issues by supporting a clear definition of the environmental aspect in all local action plans for youth and other youth activities.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within the project, 15 round tables will be held throughout Serbia, where youth organizations and youth offices will have conversations with representatives of local self-government who are responsible for the preservation of the environment and representatives of organizations whose focus is on environmental protection. The unavoidable result is that this contributes to raising the awareness of a wide population of young people in Serbia about the need for massive activism and volunteerism in order to preserve the environment for future generations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project contributes to the popularization of positive models of activism in the field of environment by rewarding young people who show the possibility for conducting ecological action through the recognitions of &#8216;Green activist&#8217;, &#8216;Green Initiative&#8217;
