Experience

For the past 4 years, we have conducted over 40 focus groups in Serbia, with youth between 14 and 30 years old.

Our beginning

We started as part of EURO

2003/4 – White Book of the Youth
2004/5 – Preferences in informing the youth and media perceptions
2005/6 – Youth participation vs. Free time
2006/7 – Diversity of society at the local level
2007/8 – Intercultural Dialogue

Active participants in qualitative research are recruited, in addition to regular channels, from other youth organizations and institutions such as schools, youth clubs, student forums, etc. which also shows interest in research topics. Their involvement in qualitative research is such that they are taken seriously regardless of what personal attitudes they express – there are no right and wrong answer in  focus group discussions, only observation and reporting.
The method of focus group allows you to discuss specific topics with selected groups (according to age, gender, education, …) in order to get specific answers.

For the past 4 years, we have conducted over 40 focus groups in Serbia, with youth between 14 and 30 years. In addition to the focus groups, we also performed dozens of interviews, as well as several creative workshops with children to 13 years old.

Cooperation

Another project realized in cooperation with the Pedagogical Society of Serbia was “Guidelines for the formation of an ethical codex of pedagogues”. Three guided interviews with school pedagogues were conducted, five guided interviews with teachers and four workshops with elementary and secondary school students. The project was realized thanks to the cooperation between the Third Belgrade High School, the Secondary Technical PTT School and the elementary school ” Ćirilo i Metodije” in Belgrade.
